Mr. Nagata’s craftsmanship has earned him numerous accolades, including the Best Folder Award at the Seki Knife Show and the Excellent Folder Award at the JKG Knife Contest.

Ikuo Nagata IN-105 Wild Double

This is his latest creation unveiled at the 2025 Seki Knife Show. The knife features a button-lock assisted opening mechanism, allowing the RWL-34 mirror-finished blade to glide open with a smooth, effortless motion. 

A rare and captivating piece from veteran Japanese custom knifemaker Ikuo Nagata, crafted with his signature precision, delicate hand-finishing, and refined artistry. The handle features genuine Sambar Stag scales, seamlessly matched to solid stainless-steel one-piece bolsters and liners, all hand-rounded and file-worked along the spine.

The highlight is the distinctive Brass and Nickel Silver bullet inlay, which adds a rugged yet elegant contrast—perfectly harmonizing with the organic texture of the stag. The double-blade construction of this folding knife reflects Nagata’s playfulness and creativity, offering a bold, untamed character rarely seen in his works.
