Yukio Nibe - Japanese Knife Artist - Known for his unique style of reforging residual steel (Zanketsuko 残欠鋼) from antique Japanese swords. He creates works that preserve and showcase the original forge marks and history of the material.

His signature style, which fuses the sprit of traditional Japanese swords with modern knife construction, is highly acclaimed by collectors both in Japan and worldwide.

R5-29  "Tanto" created in September, 2023 by Yukio Nibe out of the antique real Katana blade (Zanketsuko 残欠鋼), 6" Tamahagane carbon steel Hamaguri-ba blade in 4.9mm thick, with Hamon, 244mm (9-1/2") overall length (262mm including Saya), Urushi lacquered Japanese Nara wood handle with Copper hilt and Brass Habaki,  Ho-wood Saya with Urushi lacquered and phosphor bronze ring and hardware,  Comes with spec card with photo, and zippered Nylon pouch.
