Master Hattori became 80 years old. In Japan, a person's 80th birthday is commemorated with a special celebration called 傘寿 / Sanju. To celebrate this milestone and his proud achievements as a Master craftsman, Hattori has created the 傘 SAN-GECKO Limited Edition — a series of very special, strictly limited-production knives.

GECKO-34 Classic Utility — The Plain Blade Special Order

The GECKO-34 is a strictly limited special-order version of Hattori's all-time best-selling #3718 Classic Utility. While the standard #3718 features Hattori's signature Hamaguri-Ba (convex) grind with its distinctive shinogi ridge line, the GECKO-34 takes a different, more refined direction: a flat, plain blade with no shinogi.

This subtle but significant difference gives the GECKO-34 a cleaner, more understated silhouette — a blade that speaks through restraint rather than ornamentation. The result is a knife that feels more classically pure, with a timeless utility aesthetic that serious collectors and discerning users will immediately appreciate.
