Yukio Nibe - Japanese Knife Artist - Known for his unique style of reforging residual steel (Zanketsuko 残欠鋼) from antique Japanese swords. He creates works that preserve and showcase the original forge marks and history of the material.

His signature style, which fuses the sprit of traditional Japanese swords with modern knife construction, is highly acclaimed by collectors both in Japan and worldwide.

R6-16  "Ken-Nata" created in August, 2024 by Yukio Nibe out of the antique Black Forged Carbon steel, claddedd with Hagane blade, Single edge with flat ground on back side, 6" recurved blade in 5.6mm thick with Copper ball stopper, Urushi lacquered Purple heart wooden handle with phosphor bronze hilt, 249mm (9-3/4") overall length (266mm including Saya),  Matching Ho-wood Saya with Urushi lacquered and phosphor bronze ring and hardware,  Comes with spec card with photo, and zippered Nylon pouch.
