Junpei Makari is a young talented Custom Knifemaker in Fukuoka, Japan. He is an avid Hunter, Fisherman and Camper, and believes the skilled outdoor expert can create excellent and practical knives. He designs practical knives based on his field activities and tests each knife in every field situation. 

He makes knives in users' mind to meet with their demands. He uses a common steel of 440C or AUS-8 for tough blades to chipping and breaking, and also easy maintenance (rust resistance and ease of re-sharpening), He is a member of Japan Knife Guild, and is attending domestic knife shows to offer his "Makkari" brand knives. JKD is pleased to introduce his knives to overseas' market.

JM-180 "Sea Alligator"Combat Fighting Knife:  Another Combat knife designed by Junpei Makari for a member of Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF),  It has a 5-3/4" non-glare black coated 440C spear point blade with long swedge and thumb notches on back, hollow ground body and thicker grinding toward to the blade tip for strength to prevent chipping. He believes the high Carbon and high Chromium SUS440C steel is an excellent choice for the hard use knives, because of a tough resistance to chipping and breaking as well as an ease of re-sharpening. Sharp spear point with swedge on the back for penetration. 4-1/2" Hand contoured and beads blasted Black G10 handle with thumb notches on back and extended metal lanyard hole with glass breaker on end.  Comes with Black TAFBILON (Japan made material similar to Kydex) sheath with Malice Clip that can be attached on both sides in different angles.
