A few years ago, Master Hattori became 80 years old. In Japan, a person’s 80th birthday is commemorated with a special celebration called 傘寿 / Sanjyu. To celebrate his special anniversary year, and his proud achievements as a Master craftsman, Hattori decided to produce a Special Limited Edition Collection of knives called the 傘 San series. 

The Hattori 傘 San series knife collection will feature special, very limited production models, which Master Hattori can no longer produce in large quantities due to the rarity or limited availability of handle materials or blade materials. 

This is the 99th release in the Hattori "SAN" Limited Edition series, which celebrates his 80th year. For the SAN-99, Master Hattori chose the "Little Fisherman's Utility" model.Hattori always carefully selects the handle material. He has carefully selected the great condition and beautiful natural wood grain of the Desert Ironwood Material for the handles. 

The Hattori SAN-99 Little Fisherman's Utility,   Limited, Scalpel style slim Fish & Utility knife with 3-3/8" VG-10 Stainless steel blade. 3-1/4" Desert Ironwood handle. Tapered full tang fastened with large nickel silver rivet, small pin and lanyard hole tubuler. Comes with brown leather sheath. The knife includes a brown Leather Sheath and a Gift Box with the special "Sanjyu 80 year anniversary gold label.  Hattori finished only 10Pcs of the SAN-99 Little Fisherman's Utility.
