Ikuo Nagata IN-115 "STILETTO" Red-Crowned Crane Raden Art

This latest masterpiece, presented at the 2025 Seki Knife Show, showcases his signature motif of the Red-Crowned Crane (Tanchō)—a symbol of longevity and grace—expressed through luminous inlays of Abalone, White and Gold Mother of Pearl, and other natural shells on both sides of the solid stainless-steel interframe handle.

This model is inspired by the classic Italian stiletto style, featuring a slim profile and needle-sharp spear point blade.

The RWL-34 mirror-finished blade with custom file work on backblade. Every detail, from the file-worked back spring bar to the inlaid lock release button, reflects Nagata’s meticulous dedication. Even the inner frame is inlaid with luminous shells, a hidden gem visible only to the owner.

Smooth opening and flawless lock-up complete this functional work of art—one that bridges mechanical excellence and traditional Japanese beauty.

When held in the palm, it radiates a quiet elegance, reflecting countless hours of trial, refinement, and masterful handcrafting. Mr. Nagata’s design philosophy shines through—every detail is purposeful, every surface polished with care. The result is not just a knife, but a piece of functional art that embodies the heart and spirit of Japanese craftsmanship.

Comes with a black velvet pouch and a handcrafted Ho-wood box.
