The famous Echizen Forge Smith Takeshi Saji is one of the most experienced and famous forge smiths in Takefu (Now Echizen City), Fukui Prefecture. During his long career, he has made a great and lasting impact upon the next generation of young Echizen forge smiths and craftsmen.
Kenta Nomura, Takeshi Saji’s grandson, joined Master Saji’s knife making company and started to make traditional hammer forged knives about 3 years ago. There are a number of experienced and skillful forge smiths and craftsmen at the company, so this environment gives Ryo a great opportunity to learn knife making and build up his skill and experience.

Kenta Nomura has chosen Japan's reputable carbon steel "Hitachi White steel No.2 Damascus Carbon Steel " for his custom knife. The blade features a natural Black Forged Kurouchi Finish, showcasing a natural Black, Grey and Silver Graduation Damascus pattern.
Convex Blade Profile, 4.9' Kurouchi Damascus, which combines tradition, strength, and durability, enhances the knife's appearance, and nicely complemented by the matching black natural wooden handle and sheath.
The knife has a blade thickness of 3.4mm, a blade length of 125mm, an overall length of 255mm, and weighs 100g.
