Cowry X (Daido Steel Co., Ltd.) is a powder metallurgy ‘super steel’ that has a very high Carbon and Chromium content. Unfortunately, it is expensive and technically difficult for knife-makers to use, so these superb knives are quite rare. This is truly a shame, since we would like all of our customers to be able to experience this fantastic premium knife steel.
