Master Hattori became 80 years old. In Japan, a person’s 80th birthday is commemorated with a special celebration called 傘寿 / Sanjyu. To celebrate his special anniversary year, and also his proud achievements as a Master craftsman, Hattori has decided to produce a Special Limited Edition Collection of knives called the 傘 San Series. Each item in this special limited edition collection will be marked with a Serial No.

The Hattori 傘 San Series knife collection will feature special, very limited production models, which Master Hattori can no longer produce in large quantites due to the rarity or limited availability of handle materials or blade materials.

This is the 139th  version of Hattori "SAN" Limited edition" cerebrating his 80th year old anniversary. He has selected Hattori Urbane Hunters series which is sophisticated urban style knife with sturdy and good strength and well balanced for practical use.

SAN-139 Urbane Hunters come with the African Ebonywood Handle. Hattori always carefully selects the handle material. He has carefully selected the good strength and practical Material for the handles,  with 傘　SAN etching on the blade. 

Hattori's sophisticated urban style knife. The blade is SG-II SAN-MAI (SG-II core edge clad with 420J2 stainless steel blade)  4-inch semi-drop point Hamaguri-ba blade in his beautiful half mirror polish and 4-1/2" modern design hand contoured African Ebonywood handle with Nickel silver hilt and 5 pins & tubular lanyard hole. Comes with double stiched custom brown leather sheath.
